The deal is done. Bunker Hill Mining Corp. (TSX: BNKR | OTCQB: BHLL) and Silver47 Exploration Corp. (TSXV: AGA | OTCQX: AAGAF) announced on November 6 that their merger has closed: Bunker Hill has acquired all of the issued and outstanding Silver47 shares by way of the court-approved plan of arrangement under British Columbia law, following the shareholder approvals and the court's final order reported earlier in the fall. The combined company's operational headquarters will be in Idaho's Silver Valley, at the Bunker Hill Mine site.
- The exchange: former Silver47 shareholders received 0.1724 Bunker Hill shares for each Silver47 share. Bunker Hill issued 36,325,517 shares under the arrangement; Silver47 warrants and options remain outstanding, exercisable for up to 13,901,231 additional Bunker Hill shares on adjusted terms.
- The register: 83,667,856 Bunker Hill shares are outstanding immediately after closing, with existing Bunker Hill stockholders holding approximately 57% and former Silver47 shareholders approximately 43% on an undiluted basis. The company cites a pro forma basic market capitalization of US$158 million.
- The name: the combined company intends to change its name to "Bunker Hill Silver Corp." and will continue to be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Silver47 shares are to be delisted from the TSXV, Frankfurt and OTCQX on or about November 9, 2026.
- The portfolio: the producing Bunker Hill Mine in the Silver Valley is joined by Silver47's Red Mountain (Alaska), Hughes (Nevada) and Mogollon (New Mexico) projects — four U.S. projects in total, with a company-stated aggregate mineral resource inventory of 80 Moz AgEq measured and indicated and 308 Moz AgEq inferred.
- The leadership: Richard Williams is Executive Chairman; Sam Ash is Chief Executive Officer; Galen McNamara is President and Chief Investment Officer; Bradley Barnett is Chief Financial Officer. The board is Williams, Mark Cruise (lead independent director), Ash, Gary Thompson, McNamara, Pamela Saxton and Kelli Kast.
- The near-term target stands: commercial production at the Bunker Hill Mine by the end of 2026, with the company citing expected production of +2,500 koz AgEq in 2027 and the planned Bunker Hill 2.0 expansion to 2,500 tonnes per day as the path toward +5 Moz AgEq a year.
What the combination is built to do
The logic, in the companies' own framing, pairs a cash-flow engine with a discovery pipeline: the Bunker Hill Mine, already shipping concentrate as it ramps up, funds exploration and development across a portfolio of high-grade U.S. silver projects rather than each project financing itself alone.
Executive Chairman Richard Williams called the merger "a transformational and timely opportunity to create a leading American mining company focused on strengthening the US domestic metal supply chains." President and Chief Investment Officer Galen McNamara pointed to the same map: "a producing mine in the Silver Valley and a pipeline of high-grade projects at Red Mountain, Hughes and Mogollon," with silver now on the U.S. critical minerals list.
The honesty box
Closing is fact; the production path is forward-looking. The merger's completion, share issuance and ownership split are completed transactions stated in the release. The 2027 production figure of +2,500 koz AgEq is footnoted in the release as based on analyst consensus projections, and the +5 Moz AgEq annual level depends on the Bunker Hill 2.0 expansion to 2,500 tpd, which is a plan, not a completed build. Commercial production by the end of 2026 remains a target — the mine has not yet declared it. The name change to Bunker Hill Silver Corp. is stated as an intention, not a completed change. The 80 Moz / 308 Moz AgEq resource inventory aggregates four projects whose silver-equivalent figures are calculated with different metal-price and recovery assumptions project by project (set out in the release's own notes), and Bunker Hill's resources are stated inclusive of reserves — the aggregate is a portfolio summary, not a single compliant consolidated estimate.
What to watch
The Silver47 delistings around November 9 and the Bunker Hill Silver Corp. name change; the updated resource and reserve work and 2027 production guidance the company has said to expect by the end of 2026; and the formal commercial-production declaration at the Bunker Hill Mine, which is the milestone the whole combined story now leans on.
