Mount Jackson has moved from paper to ground. ACDC Metals announced on November 6 that field work has commenced at its gold-silver project in Nevada's Walker Lane — the survey crews and pad builders whose work has to happen before a first drill hole can be collared.
- What has started: a Controlled Source Audio Magnetotellurics (CSAMT) geophysical survey and civil works for access roads and drill pads at the Pegasus and 3 Shaft zones, with civil works begun in the week beginning November 2, 2026 and expected to be completed during November.
- The survey: 12 line-kilometres by KLM Geoscience, across the Pegasus gold-silver target and the 3 Shaft copper target, to sharpen targets defined by the aeromagnetic and radiometric survey reported on July 22, 2026. Interpretation is targeted for completion in November 2026.
- The permit already in hand: the BLM environmental permit to drill was reported on October 1, 2026, covering 15 permitted holes.
- The maiden program: up to 2,500 metres of reverse-circulation drilling by FTE Drilling USA Inc., targeted to commence in Q4 CY2026 with scheduling being finalised; final hole locations will be refined after the CSAMT interpretation.
- What it will test: at Pegasus, extensions of known gold-silver mineralisation; at 3 Shaft, the first-ever drilling, with two maiden holes planned near the historical shafts.
Two targets, two different questions
Pegasus is a confirmation-and-extension test. Its reference point is historical: drill hole PC-34A returned 25 metres at 2.14 g/t gold — a historic result ACDC has not confirmed with its own drilling, and the announcement recalculates the project's historical values in grams per metric tonne where the April 30, 2026 release used a short-ton basis.
3 Shaft is a first look. The zone saw historic mining around its shafts but has never been drilled by ACDC — or, on the company's account, drilled at all in this program's sense — and a rock sample reported on June 9, 2026 returned 14.9% copper. CEO Tom Davidson put the sequence plainly: "The CSAMT survey will sharpen the targets defined by our aeromagnetic and radiometric survey," and the maiden program aims to confirm historical mineralisation, test its extents and validate the company's understanding of the system.
The honesty box
ACDC has conducted no drilling at Mount Jackson — none. Everything grade-shaped in this announcement is historical or surface data: PC-34A's 25 metres at 2.14 g/t gold is a historical drill result with limited supporting information and unknown true widths, and the 14.9% copper figure is a single rock sample, not a drill intercept. There is no mineral resource or reserve at Mount Jackson, the company states its exploration targets are conceptual in nature, and there is no certainty the planned work will result in the discovery of a mineral resource. The 2,500-metre program is an "up to" figure across permitted holes whose final locations are not yet set, and its Q4 start is a target while contractor scheduling is still being finalised.
What to watch
Completion of the CSAMT survey and its interpretation in November; which of the 15 permitted holes make the final collar list; and the start of the maiden RC program — the first modern drill data Mount Jackson will have.
