Revival Gold Extends High-Grade Idaho Discovery

Revival Gold’s deepest drill hole yet at its Beartrack-Arnett project in Idaho has extended the high-grade Joss deposit another 240 meters below surface, and the company’s chief executive is now discussing how those results could speed up the project’s path forward. The Northern Miner reported on comments from CEO Hugh Agro at the Rule Symposium, following Revival Gold’s own announcement in June of new assay results from the Joss target.

What did the new drilling find at Joss?

Revival Gold’s summer 2026 drill program targeted the Joss zone, part of the larger Beartrack-Arnett gold system, with holes reaching deeper than the company had previously tested. The standout intercept, hole BT26-254D, cut 147.2 meters of 2.37 g/t gold starting at 808 meters downhole, including a higher-grade section of 5.9 meters at 14.9 g/t gold. Three other holes, BT26-253D, BT26-251DA, and BT26-252D, also returned gold-bearing intervals across a mineralized zone the company says now extends 1.2 kilometers along strike. True widths of the high-grade zones run 2 to 20 meters, inside broader lower-grade halos of 5 to 70 meters, and the deposit remains open both at depth and along strike.

Where is the Beartrack-Arnett project and what is its history?

Beartrack-Arnett sits in Lemhi County, in east-central Idaho, roughly 19 kilometers northwest of the town of Salmon. Revival Gold calls it the largest past-producing gold mine in Idaho, and the company consolidated full control of the property between 2017 and 2019. A 2023 preliminary feasibility study outlined an initial open-pit, heap-leach operation built around a reserve of 36.2 million tonnes grading 0.74 g/t gold. The Joss zone, still classified as an inferred underground resource of 6.75 million tonnes at 4.05 g/t gold for 877,000 ounces, sits outside that 2023 study entirely. It is new ground the company is still defining.

Why is Revival Gold fast-tracking Beartrack-Arnett?

Revival Gold’s near-term construction plans currently center on its other US project, Mercur in Utah, which the company is advancing toward a prefeasibility study. The deeper, higher-grade results at Joss are giving Beartrack-Arnett fresh momentum of its own. A second drill rig from Major Drilling has been mobilized to the Joss target to speed up the pace of testing, and Revival Gold says the growing underground resource could help move Beartrack-Arnett through its own studies sooner. None of this has produced an updated resource estimate, a construction decision, or a new feasibility study. It remains an early step, with permitting, financing, and further drilling ahead before Beartrack-Arnett could restart production.
