Resolution Confirms a 500-Metre Gold Zone at Golden Gate North, Next Door to Stibnite in Idaho

Scale is the story at Golden Gate North. Resolution Minerals reported on October 26 that assays from the first three holes of its 2026 season at the Horse Heaven antimony-tungsten-gold-silver project in Idaho confirm a gold zone at least 500 metres long, 200 metres wide and 300 metres deep — in ground that sits immediately beside Perpetua Resources' recently permitted Stibnite gold project.

At a glance
  • HH-GG26-032C: 324 metres at 0.49 g/t Au from surface, including 92.4 metres at 0.54 g/t Au from 215.7 m, 25.5 metres at 0.82 g/t Au from 190.2 m and 8.7 metres at 1.05 g/t Au from 62.5 m.
  • HH-GG26-031C: 322 metres at 0.37 g/t Au from surface, including 30.8 metres at 0.88 g/t Au from 76.2 m.
  • HH-GG26-039C: 134.2 metres at 0.40 g/t Au from surface, including 51.7 metres at 0.53 g/t Au from 82.5 m — drilled almost 500 metres north of the other two holes.
  • The zone is open: mineralization remains open northeast and southwest, and gold-in-soil results suggest potential for a further ~500 metres north and a similar distance south.
  • Most of the program is still unreported: the completed 2026 program drilled 42 diamond holes for 12,236 metres across Golden Gate North and South; assays are incomplete for more than 32 holes, and initial tungsten assays are also awaited.

Why the geometry matters more than the grade

None of these intercepts is high-grade — the long runs sit between 0.37 and 0.49 g/t gold. What they establish is continuity: two fan holes mineralized from surface nearly to the bottom of the hole, and a third hole half a kilometre north carrying the same broad, low-grade signature. That is the shape of a bulk-tonnage system rather than a narrow vein, and it extends the 2025 discovery drilling — which included 253.0 metres at 1.50 g/t Au in HH-GG25-003C — down-dip to at least 300 metres. The open question the company is now pointing at is the roughly 2,000-metre corridor between Golden Gate North and Golden Gate South, about 2 km apart, which its planned 2027 program — currently being permitted — is designed to test, alongside infill and the northern extension.

Horse Heaven is a four-metal project: alongside the gold, Resolution is working the Antimony Ridge system and historical tungsten stockpiles, and says a processing plan for those stockpiles and metallurgical testing are advancing in parallel.

The honesty box

Every interval in this release is a downhole length, not a true width — the company states the intervals do not necessarily represent true widths, so the zone's real thickness is not yet established. There is no mineral resource estimate at Golden Gate: "500 metres long, 200 wide, 300 deep" describes drilled mineralization, not a compliant resource, and no economic study exists. The grades in the new holes are lower than the best 2025 intercepts the release cites alongside them — continuity is improving while headline grade is moderating, and both facts belong in the picture. The further-500-metres extensions rest on gold-in-soil anomalies, which are surface indicators, not drilling. And with more than 32 of 42 holes still unassayed, this is the first three holes of a large program, not its verdict.

What to watch

The remaining 32-plus assay releases from Golden Gate North and South, the first tungsten assays from the 2026 program, permitting progress on the 2027 corridor program, and any move toward a maiden resource estimate.
